This is what we got up to in July 2024 :
During camp we worked with a range of different art materials from drawing, painting, cyanotype, weaving, and much more!
What we got up to :
Learnt how to weave an owl using wool and drift wood from the beach.
Using a clever trick of lighting we drew and created our own Under the Sea landscape.
Using the sun we learnt how to create and design our sun prints using flowers and ferns from your own garden!
With watercolour we painted and drew with fine-liner pens Postcards of Enniscorthy’s Castle inspired by artwork of local artist Larry Dunne.
Using our flashlights and cereal boxes out as we dived into the world of making our own shadow puppet theatre!
We played art games and group drawing activities that helped kids work together and get to know one another fast!
When the weather was good, we worked outside for some of the art projects in the art centres private outdoor courtyard.
Nadia Corridan is an artist based in Enniscorthy since 2016. She is a fine art painter with a BA Honours Degree from Limerick School of Art & Design. She has developed her career as a figurative oil painter.
